About Congestion

  • Seasonal allergies or the common cold. Sinus pressure results from blocked sinus and nasal passages. When your sinuses cannot drain, you may experience sinus inflammation and pain in your head, nose, and face. Congested nasal passages makes it difficult to breathe.

  • Use a humidifier, take long showers, drink lots of fluid, place a warm wet towel as a compress on your face, prop yourself up

  • When you suffer from nasal allergies or a cold, the lining of your nasal cavities swell with excess fluid, making it difficult to breathe—especially when you’re lying down. This, in turn, may cause you to lose sleep and become sleep deprived.
